8th graders should have completed their printmaking project, and turned it in for grading. A portrait unit will be introduced this week. Students will create realistic portraits.
Week of 1/26-1/30
Students will continue to work on printmaking, using images provided for them. Two-point perspective drawings should have been completed and turned in for grading.
Week of 1/12-1/16/09
Students will complete their two-point perspective drawings, and turn in for a grade. We will begin our printmaking project, using styrofoam plates and a printing press.
WEEK OF 12/15-12/19
Square 1 items have arrived and will be distributed this week to students.
Students will continue their two-point perspective projects, and turn in for grading. 8th graders will begin the printmaking project, after viewing a powerpoint presentation.
11/24-11/25
Students will complete their two point perspective drawings and turn in for grading.
Weeks of 11/3-11/7 and 11/12-11/14
8th graders will continue Two Point Perspective project (Ebony pencil).
Square 1 magnets have been sent home. If you wish to place an order, which will arrive in time for the Holidays, please send in the order by 11/14.
WEEK OF 10/20-10/27/08
ONE DAY STUDENTS WILL CONTINUE THEIR STUDY OF TWO-POINT PERSPECTIVE DRAWING, WORKING ON THEIR CITY SCENES (EBONY PENCIL).
Week of 10/6-10/10
8th graders will continue the gesture drawing project started the previous week. They have learned to sketch by looking at live models while using the gesture method, and will move into choosing their favorite drawings to create the finished piece.
WEEK OF 9/29-10/3
Square 1 artwork is now due. Anyone who was absent and has not taken the art to be completed as homework should come to the art room to do so this week.
The new project, dealing with continuous line contour drawing, will begin this week.
WEEK OF 9/15-9/19
We will spend one more art class after this week on Square 1. The project will then be due for grading.
